Once the team generated enough support and conviction in the rural communities of women to restart and continue working on the kisaan charkha, weavers to get back to their handlooms, the Bun.Kar Bihar team also worked extensively in enhancing their skills. Bun.Kar Bihar has worked closely with weavers in teaching them higher order weaving skills such as weaving finer counts, working with different yarns, creating extra weft motifs, weaving intricate designs with multi-treadles and even working on the popular heritage baavanbuti saris, apart from refined forms of pure embroidery work.
