Gauri Purple-Pink Cotton

Gauri is a beautiful bavanbuti handloom cotton sari in soft purple shot with pink embellished with 52 motifs woven with extra weft in white and a deep shade of pink across the anchal and sari borders. The soft blue-white border is edged with deep pink and blue while the 1 metre blouse is woven with fine stripes in deep pink, purple-blue and soft pink. The extra weft ‘Baavanbuti’ saris represent the rich handloom heritage of Bihar and showcases to the world the high dexterous skills of the weavers.These traditional weaves are Bun.kar Bihar’s humble efforts to promote and celebrate the state’s rich handloom heritage.
