Srijani Foundation
Srijani Foundation’s mission is to create a self-sustaining model which bolsters support to revive, promote and sustain hand-spun, hand-woven and handlooms in the state of Bihar. From imparting skill building in hand-spinning to weaving, to enhancements in traditional embroideries, the Foundation is on path of socio-economic and personal development of the rural communities of the state.
Believing in an inclusive and participatory approach, the Foundation works to link spinners, weavers, embroiderers together to rebuild a new structure; set-up empowering systems in place by imparting skills, using natural resources, efficient local technologies and eco friendly processes to eventually grow together and sustain in times to come.

With our foothold in four districts of Bihar, we work with over 300 men and women with an aim to provide not only a consistent source of livelihood opportunities for people who seem to be lost in the pages of time and development, but also a sense of integrity, pride, and revival of something that has been an integral part of their lives and community.
