Bhavani Blue (Pink+Yellow)

Bhavani is a handloom silk sari in indigo blue with very intricate floral motifs in fuchsia pink & yellow woven in extra weft in 2.5 meters from anchal – end, floral garlands cover the front till where the pleats start. Rest of 3.5 meters have a floral bel all along the border. The sari has a 1” red border as an accent to the fuchsia pink and yellow flowers in the sari. It has a 1-meter blouse embellished with tiny motifs in extra weft. Bhavani is our most intricate sari with heavy embellishment in extra weft and is woven by a master weaver only. The sari is 6-meters with 1-meter blouse. Warp is Mulberry silk yarn and weft is Reeled Tasar silk yarn. Extra weft is the traditional weave of south-central Bihar which involves weaving motifs on the loom with an extra spool of yarn inserted into the weft to create exquisite designs on textiles.
