Gauri Natural Tasar

Gauri is a beautiful bavanbuti handloom silk sari in tasar colour embellished with 52 motifs woven with extra weft in black accented with red across the anchal and sari borders. The black border complements the tasar natural shade. 1-meter blouse is woven with fine extra weft stripes in tasar shade and black. The sari is 6-meters with 1-meter blouse. Warp is Mulberry silk yarn and weft is Reeled Tasar silk yarn. Extra weft is the traditional weave of south-central Bihar which involves weaving motifs on the loom with an extra spool of yarn inserted into the weft to create exquisite designs on textiles. The traditional weaves are Bun.kar Bihar’s humble efforts to promote and celebrate the state’s rich handloom heritage.
