Idika Maroon Silk

Idika is an exquisite extra weft “bavanbuti” handloom tasar silk sari in a deep maroon shade shot with blue artfully embellished with beautiful 52 geometrical motifs woven in kora accented with black along its pallu and borders. The sari has a 4” border in warm red with cream selvedge on either side to offset the deep maroon shade of the sari. It has a 1 meter blouse embellished with fine black motifs that add elegance to the tradition of baavanbuti motifs woven in the sari. The traditional weaves of Baavanbuti in extra weft are Bun.Kar Bihar’s humble efforts to promote and celebrate the state’s rich handloom heritage.
