Uttara Pink Silk

Uttara is a handloom desi tasar silk sari in a lovely shade of deep pink accentuated with warm yellow borders embellished with beautiful extra weft motifs woven in yellow all over the sari anchal with smaller motifs in the rest of the sari with a 1 metre blouse. Extra weft is the traditional weave of south-central Bihar which involves weaving motifs on the loom with an extra spool of yarn inserted into the weft to create exquisite designs on textiles.The traditional weaves of Baavanbuti in extra weft are Bun.Kar Bihar’s humble efforts to promote and celebrate the state’s rich handloom heritage.
